Over the weekend, I played tourist in the quaint town of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After getting some brunch in the downtown area, I noticed how cute this nearby old school train depot was and had to stop by to have an impromptu photoshoot!
For a casual weekend look, I went with ripped denim and some taupe fringe booties. To amplify this cozy attire, I tossed on a slouchy off the shoulder sweater.Outfit Details: Wine Sweater-Red Dress Boutique (old, similar) Wine Hat- Urban Outfitters, Wine Lips- in ‘Sin’ by MAC, Fringe Booties- Lulu’s, Denim- American Eagle, Double Ring- Kendra Scott
As you know, when Charishma and I find that people will judge us for the amount of black we wore in the past month and it’s socially unacceptable to do so anymore, we have to switch up our color palette. And the next best thing to black is another B word….BORDEAUX.
Even though this rich oxblood color was the Pantone color of 2015, I am still not over it. I went all out with a merlot lip, sweater, and hat for a monochromatic look. I think this look is the perfect “let’s go on adventure and look put together at the same time.” The hat is perfect in reducing your amount of time primping in the bathroom and more time enjoying your weekend exploring! I was so caught up in this outfit, the ribbon accent on the hat even made me pretend for a minute I was the perfect Southern belle.
