Everyday Style

Dog Days of Summer

Today I thought I’d switch it up and post something a little more personal on the blog today: my puppy Sampson who is my best accessory. We matched so he had to take pics with me, hehe. Recently I went home and we enjoyed being so spoiled together 😉 While I was in Midland, the weather was unusually chilly which is crazy because the rest of the country was in the upper 90’s.

I was way too excited that I packed this sleeveless turtleneck because it was seriously the most perfect thing to wear during my time there and hellooo I’m obsessed with fall fashion. This style definitely stuck around from last season because I’ve been seeing these sleeveless turtlenecks everywhere. You can check out how Charishma and I styled them last year here

Every time I see these longline sweaters I can’t help but think how great of a transitional piece they are. You can still wear them in the summer but look like you’re totally ready for fall. I also love the deep arm holes on the sides because it is a chance to show off a cute and lacy bralette underneath.

This is a really casual outfit so as always, I had to spice it up with the hair and accessories. I went with a really trendy half bun, which to be honest I’m still trying out. Some days I love it and some days I think I look like an alien lol, anyone else have this problem?! Either way it’s always fun to look different than your everyday self.

I went with this gorgeous necklace that I have been DYING to wear since I got it. I found this necklace at Turkish antique shop when my mom came to visit me in Dallas a few weekends ago. I love pieces that are so unique no one would have them! I also love that this piece has a story behind it. When I get tired of it jingling every where I go, I’ll hang it in my room as a wall piece. Win, win.
