Guys! Wedding season is officially here. I don’t know about ya’ll but summer and spring is when I get invited to the most weddings. And to be honest, sometimes it kinda freaks me out because what to do I wear to these events while not repeating the same outfit twice and stay on a budget!? So, I’ve done some research for you and myself to figure it out!
I wanted to start first with some fall/winter options I threw in. This floral dress is the perfect color for fall/winter, you can never go wrong with dark colors. The satin fabric gives a richer quality, which is gorgeous for winter because I always think of luxurious fabrics like silk, satin, velvet and tulle around that time. The floral print really keeps this dress fun and youthful. But what I love the most is this dress could even double for spring because of that print, so I declare this a winner for saving some mullah.
The dress underneath the floral one is from Rent the Runway, (which if you haven’t caught my post on that you should), I’m a big fan of how easy and cost effective it is. Again, winter and fall is when I think of different textures so this tulle is so perfect for winter because it reminds me of a ballerina during the Nut Cracker play. It is so elegant and the lace bodice adds even more of a touch of sophistication. This would probably a one time wear for me, so I love that to rent it once is only $45! #winning
Okay now time to get into spring and summer weddings! If the attire is cocktail party, I would go with the red lace midi dress or the blue lace midi dress to the bottom right of it. The midi dress hits halfway at the calf, which to me screams classy and elegant for a wedding. I also love brighter colors during spring/summer so both would be head turners. The blue dress is a designer dress that I’ve seen on the runway and almost every girl out there wants this gorgeous dress right now! The problem is sadly its almost $400, but hey girl if you can afford that, props to you. In my opinion, I think the red is very similar and would make you stand out from the crowd! The good news on this one is that it is also from Rent the Runway, with a renting price of $75. I would really look into this one as fast as you can because when I saw it, it was booked for the entire summer…which is crazy. So as soon as you know the date of that wedding I would run to rent this dress!
If the attire is a little less than cocktail, I would go with this baby blue dress from Asos. It’s sweet and simple. I love the color for spring or summer, it’s cute and elegant, and the one thing I love most about it is that darling ruffle detail. Of course its cold shoulder as well, which is a major trend that I’m majorly on board with.
Lastly, if the wedding you’re attending is a little fancier than cocktail, like a black tie event, you have to go with this red and pink gown from Rent the Runway. I love a bold color block, and my favorite type has to be red and pink together. I don’t know what it is about those two colors together but they make such a bold statement! I’m all about rocking bold, so I think you would get a hundred compliments in the gown. The colors are super fun for the summer, it’s simple, and its conservative while still being fun with a cutout in the back! I would even wear this to a cocktail party if I knew how fancy the event was going to be. Really I would make an excuse to wear it to something..
I hope that helped loves! All outfit details are linked below:
