Happy hump day dolls! If there’s one fabric that we’ve been obsessing over, it’s suede. Now normally we keep most trendy pieces in the past where it belongs. Like remember those hideous one size fits all bubble shirts?! But sometimes trends make a comeback in the best way, like suede has. Now we’re wondering if we need to keep our throwback pieces around just in case 😉
This borderline cowboy texture has the incredible ability to take us to places and decades from the past. The funny thing about suede is that it was popular in the 70’s with suede trench coats, the 80’s with suede miniskirts, and the 90’s with suede fringe jackets. Started from the bottom and now we’re here: 2016 where all of these garments are as popular as ever!

Niasha wanted to play up her suede in an easy to style dress. She chose the classic camel color to keep it as 70’s as possible. To keep everything on trend, she chose black leather OTK boots to keep warm. Adding to the black accessories, she chose a fringe leather bag which also adds another element of the 70’s and a black hat to tie in the boho chic look.
Charishma took a little more of a modern approach on the suede trend by incorporating her black suede dress in the now trending tie up style. The big front pockets also add hints of contemporary style. She went with knee high taupe colored suede boots and a black velvet jeweled clutch to polish off the look.
Suede is versatile and comfy, so much so that it feels like our second skin. Depending on how you style it, suede can be 70’s, 90’s or today! So, how do you style your suede?
