Hope you’re having a happy almost Friday! I don’t know about you, but I cant seem to get the thought of Spring coming out of my head. I’m excited for the sun to come out and shine, the bright colored flowers to bloom, the birds to chirp in excitement, to begin Spring cleaning and oh yeah Spring Break!! Okay…so I don’t get a Spring Break anymore but I definitely give myself one by taking off work 😉
When I was doing a little early spring cleaning, I found this lilac top and immediately knew I had to feature it. Lilac is the quintessential spring color and basically the “it” girl of the pastels clique. Adding in leather with lilac makes for the perfect outfit to go out in when it’s still a little chilly out.

Lilac and leather. It just rolls off the tongue so smoothly like they were meant to forever be a thing. Well I’m here to tell ya that they are! If Lilac were a girl, she’d be very feminine and delicate. This is why she needs leather in her life, to help toughen her up a bit and balance her out!! It’s a match made in fashion heaven!
My lilac top has a black leather trim around the neckline and sleeves, so it goes perfectly with the black matte liquid leather leggings I wore with it. For my accessories, I kept it simple and just added maroon tassel earrings to stay inline with the purple shade of my top. To finish the look, I paired this outfit with fab pointed toe stilettos. The detailed black jewels on the back heel add such a unique touch that’s sure to have your girlfriends asking where you bought them! I played around with adding a powder blue purse to show that other pastel colored accessories work well with the lilac and black color scheme.
The overall look is simple, yet dressy enough to wear to get drinks in. Just remember the easy alliteration: lilac and leather! And the best part, you can actually stay warm in this look!
Love those earrings…on a separate note where did you get the header of your blog designed? very unique
