To be honest with you, this is a look I came up with in about 5 minutes because I was getting late and running out the door. It could’ve failed miserably as I usually plan my outfits ahead of time, but I wanted to share with ya’ll a way to take staple pieces and make them look effortless, chic, and trendy all at the same time. (So you too can run out the door in 5 min 😉 )

Denim on denim is another throwback trend of the 90’s. I mean did anyone see Britney Spears and JT at the VMAs back then? They epitomized the denim. I think basically all of 90’s fashion have taken over the last couple of years when it comes to crop tops, plaid, etc. and I’m totally okay with it. At this point, I think everyone (guys and girls included) should have a denim shirt! They are simply a must, especially since it can be worn a million different ways.

I love the denim on denim trend because you can change up the washes and textures of different types of denim like I did here to make the look different every time. I went with a light wash for my button up and a slightly darker distressed pair for my jeans. So I didn’t look so washed out with just the denim, I added a buffalo plaid sweater jacket. This jacket is perfect for 60 degree weather.

I hope that when you throw on this 90’s outfit, you play some NSYNC, Britney, and Backstreet Boys for me.
